 What is Super Hydrophobic Material?

A super hydrophobic material is a coating that mimics nature’s water-repellent surfaces (e.g., lotus leaves) by combining micro-nano rough structures with low-surface-energy materials, creating a surface where water forms beads with a contact angle > 150°, enabling efficient water repellency, self-cleaning, and protection against moisture, corrosion, and short circuits in electronic applications.
